Lox Stock & Barrel is a busy and well-established neighbourhood deli, café and catering business located in the heart of Bondi Beach. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cook to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis.

About the Role

This is a hands-on kitchen position working across our café and catering operations. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality breakfast, lunch and catering menu items while maintaining exceptional food safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and service standards.

Assist with daily food preparation and kitchen mise en place.

Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation and portion control.

Monitor stock levels and assist with stock rotation and inventory control.

Maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Comply with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.

Assist with catering production and event preparation as required.

Work collaboratively with chefs, cooks and front-of-house staff during busy service periods.

Skills and Experience Required

Minimum two years' experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen.

Relevant Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification preferred.

Experience in high-volume café, restaurant or catering environments.

Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.

Position Details

Full-time position (38 hours per week)

Location: Bondi Beach, NSW

Salary: $79,423 – $82,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience
