Task & responsibilities Managing complex structural engineering projects worldwide Preparation of structural calculations for complex structural designs in, steel, and concrete Advanced structural concept development for complex and architecturally demanding structures Performing FEM analyses and structural optimization, particularly for stadium roofs and long-span structures Execution of all structural engineering design stages Preparation of detailed execution plans and technical specifications Ensuring quality, deadlines, and technical standards in your own area of responsibility, as well as taking on project management tasks Providing technical guidance and support to team members in the implementation of structural solutions Working closely with the project team and coordinating with other specialist disciplines In-person coordination with multidisciplinary project teams Coordinating and liaising with clients, designers, and contractors Qualification & experience Completed master’s degree in civil engineering with focus on structural engineering Several years of professional experience in the field of structural design and analysis of lightweight, long-span, and complex structures, including cable and membrane systems Extensive experience in advanced structural analysis, FEM modelling, numerical structural calculations, and optimization of complex structures Several years of eyperience in the design and delivery of long-span and/or stadium roof structures Strong skills in structural analysis and CAD programs such as SOFiSTiK, Rhino, Grasshopper and Revit/BIM platforms Independent, goal-oriented, and reliable way of working, as well as a high level of commitment and engagement Excellent communication and social skills as well as ability to work in a team, combined with the motivation to actively participate in shaping projects Fluent in English (German or other languages are a plus) About Company Tensys Engineers Pty Ltd is a specialist structural engineering consultancy based in Melbourne, Australia, and part of the international Tensys group, with additional operations in Bath, UK.
