Painter

This is a full-time role for someone who is proactive and hands-on, with strong experience in painting and maintenance work. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint and finishes, maintaining quality standards, and completing painting projects efficiently and professionally.

Apply paint, varnish, stains, and other protective finishes to walls, ceilings, doors, windows, and other surfaces. Select and mix paints and coatings to achieve the required colours and finishes. Use brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and other painting tools safely and effectively.

Protect furniture, flooring, fixtures, and other areas from paint and damage. Inspect completed work to ensure a high-quality and professional finish. Maintain painting tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.

Follow workplace health and safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment. Complete painting projects within agreed timeframes and maintain good workmanship. Communicate with supervisors and clients regarding work requirements and project progress.

Apply stains, oils and sealants to timber and other surfaces Apply decorative finishes such as wood graining, marbling and stenciling where required Qualification & experience Relevant qualification or trade certificate in Painting and Decorating is preferred. Proven experience working as a painter in residential, commercial, or industrial environments. Good knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing methods.

Ability to safely use brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and other painting tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good time management and ability to complete tasks within required deadlines. Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements. About Company Pacific Painting and Coatings Pty Ltd is an Australian privately held company operating in the painting and coatings sector.
