Painter

Truck Art Smash Repairs, located across Australia in 5 states, Manufacturer of custom Stock Crates and Livestock Trailers is currently seeking to employ a qualified and experienced Painter to commence at their site in Wagga Wagga NSW.

The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

- Surface preparation of steel for painting, safely using chemicals and a range of hand tools

- Clean, wash, strip, sand, remove corrosion, fill dents or otherwise prepare fabricated steel items for application of paint and or other protective coatings.

- Operate various equipment, such as blast pots and spray guns

- Knowledge of various painting methods and applications

- Sandblasting, abrasive and chemical techniques, masking and etching of applications.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprint, sketches and drawings

- Safe operation of tools and equipment

- Grinding, sanding and polishing of steel

- Understanding of painting, caulking and sealing and putting them in to practice

- Ability to apply all types of coatings using various application methods

Skills & Abilities:

- Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application or relevant

- Ideally have 3 years’ experience within relevant or similar field

- Ability to work in a team environment

Salary range is $80,000-$95,000pa commensurate with experience.
