About this job
• Welcoming guests, booking tables, managing phone and online reservations, and optimizing restaurant seating layouts across the dining floor.
• Presenting menus, taking accurate food and beverage orders, focusing specifically on artisan pizzas, sides, and non-alcoholic beverages, and processing entries dynamically into the POS terminal.
• Delivering hot pizzas, sides, and non-alcoholic drinks to tables efficiently.
• Clearing tables promptly and maintaining strict hygiene and sanitation codes across all dining stations.
• Completing payments, handling cash and EFTPOS processing, splitting bills, and reconciling cash registers.
• Executing mise-en-place setups, preparing front-of-house server stations, and restocking cutlery and condiments.
• Ensuring full compliance with Northern Territory liquor licensing laws by holding a valid NT Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate, maintaining adherence to venue house policies, and executing professional food and beverage service across all dining operations.
Qualifications:
• Minimum Experience: A minimum of 1 year of recent, verified work experience as a Cafe and Restaurant Worker, Food and Beverage Attendant, or Waiter in a fast-paced hospitality, cafe, or restaurant environment.
• Educational Qualification: Completion of an Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Certificate II or III in Hospitality (or equivalent overseas qualification), or relevant practical experience substituting for formal qualification in alignment with ANZSCO guidelines for Cafe and Restaurant Workers (Code 431111).
• Licensing and Compliance: Possession of (or the ability to immediately obtain) a valid Northern Territory Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate to meet NT liquor licensing requirements for licensed dining premises.
• Key Competencies: Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume customer service, operate modern Point of Sale (POS) terminals, handle cash and EFTPOS transactions accurately, and maintain strict food safety and hygiene standard
Salary Range: $68,000 to $80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience
