Production Software Analyst

Role Summary

The Production Software Analyst is responsible for analyzing and identifying technical or functional incidents affecting the Yooz solution. Their objective is to determine the root cause of issues and implement appropriate solutions in collaboration with technical teams.

Responsibilities

Incident Analysis and Corrective Actions

• Analyze incident tickets submitted by internal teams.

• Reproduce issues and identify their root cause (functional, technical, data-related, etc.).

• Recommend application configuration adjustments when appropriate.

• Write clear and comprehensive bug reports for developers.

• Develop data correction scripts (data recovery, cleanup, updates).

• Identify incidents related to specific areas of responsibility (operations, interoperability, custom developments, etc.) and escalate them to the relevant teams.

Documentation and Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the application by creating bug reports aimed at addressing the root causes of recurring issues.

• Document analyses conducted and solutions implemented.

Software Monitoring and Production Support

• Detect and manage production software incidents in real time.

• Analyze application logs.

• Monitor key application performance and health indicators.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Provide technical and functional expertise on the application to Support, Project, and Sales teams.

Training and Mentoring of New Employees

• Deliver initial training to new hires.

• Mentor and support one or more team members.

• Document best practices and common use cases.

About you

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in software engineering, production support, application support, or production monitoring within a SaaS software environment.

• Experience working in a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environment supporting business-critical applications.

• Experience in production incident investigation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.

• Experience collaborating with software development teams to resolve technical and functional issues.

• Experience analysing application logs, monitoring alerts, and production performance indicators.

• Experience preparing bug reports, technical documentation, and incident analysis reports.

• Experience operating within a technology company, software publisher, FinTech, cloud software provider, or fast-growing scale-up environment.

• Experience performing data investigation, data correction, and production support activities

Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of SQL databases and data analysis techniques.

• Ability to develop and execute data correction and remediation scripts.

• Proficiency with application monitoring and observability tools such as Kibana, Grafana, or equivalent platforms.

• Understanding software development lifecycles, deployment processes, and production support methodologies.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex software issues.

• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment, partnering with Support, Product, Project, and Engineering teams.

• Ability to document technical investigations and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French

Relevant Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related technical discipline.
