NEPS Foods Pty Ltd, based in Seaford, VIC offers raw prepared Nepalese food to different hotels and restaurants in Melbourne as well as offer catering services. They provide outstanding customer service and creating fresh, modern culinary experiences for weddings, private functions, corporate events, and community celebrations.. This is a full-time position for the person, who has the experience, skills, and passion of cooking.

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items consistently according to NEPS Foods established recipes and quality standards

• Cook signature mains, entrees, and side dishes including momos, sekuhwa, curries, and traditional Nepalese dishes

• Prepare diet-specific orders (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc.) as required

• Maintain consistency in portion sizes, presentation, and cooking techniques across all menu items sent

• Estimate food consumption and prepare requisitions for catering orders and functions

• Assist in planning and executing menus for weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, and other celebrations

• Support frozen food production operations for hospitality supply

• Monitor food production to minimize waste while maintaining quality standards

• Supervise and train junior kitchen staff in authentic Nepalese cooking techniques

• Demonstrate proper preparation of signature items like momos, sekuhwa, and traditional curries

• Provide guidance on food handling, storage, and preparation best practices

Knowledge/Skills & Experience -Required

• Holds a Certificate Ill and IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or equivalent.

• Holds a current Food Handling Certificate.

• At least one year of relevant experience as cook.

• Demonstrated experience in applying Occupational Health and Safety initiatives in a workplace.

• Knowledge of Nepalese food, cooking and spices is preferrable.

Salary - $75,000 – $80,000 plus super
