Bar Attendant

Shaw & Co is a vibrant hospitality venue in the heart of Townsville, known for delivering exceptional food, beverage, and customer experiences. We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Bar Attendant to join our team on a full-time basis.

Position Overview

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service, preparing and serving beverages, maintaining high presentation standards, and contributing to the efficient operation of the venue.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

• Providing professional and friendly customer service to patrons.

• Taking beverage orders and processing transactions accurately.

• Maintaining cleanliness and presentation of bar areas and equipment.

• Monitoring stock levels and assisting with stock control procedures.

• Ensuring compliance with Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) requirements and venue policies.

• Assisting with opening and closing procedures.

• Working collaboratively with management and team members to achieve service standards.

• Maintaining a safe and hygienic work environment.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, applicants should possess:

• At least 1 year of relevant hospitality or bar service experience.

• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

• A positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 plus superannuation

Hours: Full-time (minimum 38 hours per week)
