Rendine Constructions is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of commercial construction projects across Geelong, Melbourne, Ballarat VIC.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, stakeholder management, and compliance, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Responsible for the proactive and effective management of allocated projects, and achievement of key performance indicators (KPl's) and objectives .

- Actively participate in Project Handover from the Estimating Manager.

- Accountable for the creation and management of budgets, forecasting - cash flow, costs, risks and opportunities , profit and loss including timely reporting in line with business reporting calendar.

- Diligently monitor the performance of the Site Supervisor , sub-contractors , and suppliers via regular, minuted Construction meetings and updated construction programmes .

- Negotiate sub-contract and supply agreements .

- Programming of projects in consultation with the Construction Manager and Site Supervisor .

- Closely liaise and build strong relationships with Clients, consultants , and other stakeholders including attending site meetings and being primary point of contact.

- Responsible for the prompt return of the Security Guarantees and Retentions.

- Responsible for the diligent administration of project documentation including; project start-up , creditor invoicing approvals, shop drawing approvals & project completion archiving .

- Problem solve and provide solutions to all stake holders which are favourable to our objectives .

- Maintaining full compliance on all projects including dealing with Building surveyors and providing relevant documentation .

- Develop and maintain effective relationships with the management team and employees at all levels across the business.

- Actively participate in management team meetings and ensure effective communication of key business activities on an ongoing basis.

- Perform any other duties within your capabilities as instructed .

HSEQ Responsibilities

- Follow all Rendine policies, procedures, workplace instructions and relevant Acts and Legislation .

- Ensure adherence with the integrated and certified Rendine Management Systems, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001

Skills & Experience Required

To be considered for this role, candidates should demonstrate:

- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a relevant trade qualification.

- Minimum 5 years' experience in a leadership role within the construction industry.

- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, trades, materials, and project delivery practices.

- Experience managing subcontractors, safety, quality, and compliance requirements.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.

- Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

- Victorian Driver's License and Construction Induction (White/Red Card) required.

Qualifications

- Experience with Job Pac, Cheops, Vista, or similar project management systems.

- First Aid and CPR qualifications.

- Knowledge of Victorian Building Regulations, OH&S legislation, Australian Standards, and Security of Payment legislation.

- Strong ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across teams.

- Experience analyzing and resolving complex technical and operational issues.

- Effective communication and organizational skills.

- Ability to lead and support teams under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

- Demonstrated initiative, leadership capability, and sound judgement.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project).

Salary range is $120,000 - $150,000pa commensurate with experience.
