Farm Labourer

We require 100 workers for fruit and vegetable picking on a farm in the Ayr region, QLD.

The work includes picking and packaging of fruits and vegetables, pruning, and general farm labour.

Work will commence in Jan 2027 and continue for 4 years.

Successful candidates will be offered employment on a full-time basis and paid under the Horticulture Award 2020 at the starting rate of Level 1 $25.74 per hour.

Workers will be required to work 5 days a week. This role could potentially be available for additional days depending on the requirements of the harvest. General hours of work are between 6 AM and 5 PM.

Physical fitness is paramount, as tasks entail lifting, bending, and carrying heavy harvest buckets on uneven terrain. You will also need to sustain positions like bending and squatting for extended periods throughout the day.

This job has opportunities for upskilling and training.

Workers must be able to pass a medical/drug test.
