Engineering Technologist

Radio Communications Technology We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Engineering Technologist specialising in Radio Communications Technology to support our technical and project operations. Assisting with the design, development and implementation of engineering solutions. Reviewing existing engineering systems and recommending technical improvements. Preparing and interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications and documentation.

Conducting desktop and site surveys to assess technical and engineering requirements. Assisting with system design, equipment selection and technical integration. Supporting the integration of communication, electrical and electronic hardware and systems.

Conducting testing, inspections and performance evaluations of engineering systems. Assisting with factory acceptance testing and site acceptance testing. Supporting commissioning and troubleshooting of installed systems.

Conducting coverage, interference and system performance assessments. Assisting with railway communication and wayside equipment projects. Supporting distributed power and electrical/electronic equipment projects.

Investigating technical problems and developing practical engineering solutions. Modifying and improving existing systems to enhance reliability, efficiency and performance. Preparing technical reports, site reports, manuals and engineering documentation.

Ensuring engineering activities comply with relevant Australian standards, specifications and project requirements. Liaising with engineers, technicians, contractors, suppliers and clients during project delivery. Providing technical support during installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance activities.

Assisting project teams with technical planning, scheduling and implementation. Maintaining accurate records of testing, inspections, modifications and commissioning activities. Qualification & experience Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Engineering Technology or a closely related field Demonstrated experience in technical project coordination Strong knowledge of engineering standards, compliance requirements and HSE processes Excellent analytical, documentation and stakeholder communication skills About Company We are an established and innovative engineering and telecommunications company delivering smart infrastructure, automation, and remote monitoring solutions across the mining, maritime, energy, and government sectors.
