Benefits These are full times roles, working 38 hours per week over 5 days. Salary: $72,000.00 + superannuation Task & responsibilities Preparing, cooking, and presenting a wide range of dishes Adding herbs, spices, and flavourings during cooking to enhance taste Dividing meals into portions, plating them neatly, and finishing with gravies, sauces, or garnishes Inspecting ingredients and food products to confirm quality and freshness Occasionally assist with estimating ingredient and stock needs Monitoring and regulating the heat of ovens, grills, and other kitchen equipment Storing ingredients and cooked food correctly in temperature-controlled facilities Creating dishes to accommodate special diets or customer requirements Occasionally guide, train, and oversee apprentices and kitchen hands Qualification & experience AQF or equivalent Certificate III in Commercial Cookery including at least two years of on-the-job training as a Cook, or AQF or equivalent Certificate IV in Kitchen Management and at least 1 year of full time work experience as a Cook.

At least 3 years of full time work experience as a Cook in the last 5 years may substitute for the qualification requirement.
