Constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboards. Setting out, cutting, and shaping timber or light-gauge steel frameworks for walls, roofs, floors, and other structures. Installing external cladding, eaves, window frames, door frames, and internal linings.

Hanging doors, fitting locks, and installing architectural hardware and internal fixtures (skirting, architraves, cabinetry). Operating power tools, hand tools, and wood-shaping machinery safely and efficiently. Maintaining a clean, safe work site and adhering to all site Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulations.

Qualification & experience Required Skills and Qualifications: Education: AQF Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent international qualification recognized by VETASSESS / Trade Recognition Australia). Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of post-qualification experience in residential carpentry. Licences: Valid General Construction Induction Training Card (White Card) and a current Australian Driver’s Licence.

Skills: Strong blueprint reading skills, high attention to detail, precision finishing, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
