HELLO 22 G PTY LTD We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef / Cook to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and cooking a wide range of Indian and North Indian dishes while maintaining the restaurant's standards for quality, consistency, presentation, food safety and kitchen efficiency. Benefits $80,000 per annum + superannuation Full-time employment opportunity.

Task & responsibilities Prepare, season and cook a wide range of Indian and North Indian dishes in accordance with established recipes and restaurant standards. Prepare authentic Punjabi curries, including butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, chicken kadai, lamb and goat curries, dal makhani, matar paneer and other vegetarian dishes.

Prepare and cook tandoori dishes including tandoori chicken, chicken tikka, paneer tikka, tandoori seafood and other grilled specialties. Prepare and cook biryani, rice dishes, parathas, naan and other traditional Indian breads. Prepare vegetarian, non-vegetarian, meat and seafood dishes according to customer orders and dietary requirements.

Prepare ingredients by cleaning, cutting, chopping, marinating, portioning and measuring ingredients. Prepare sauces, gravies, marinades, spice blends and other components required for daily service. Operate and monitor tandoor ovens, commercial cooking equipment, grills, fryers and other kitchen equipment.

Cook food to the required temperature and presentation standards while maintaining consistency between services. Assist with menu preparation, recipe development and adjustments to dishes where required. Monitor food quality and freshness and ensure ingredients are stored correctly.

Inspect ingredients and food products for quality and freshness before preparation. Estimate food requirements and assist with ordering and stock control to minimise wastage. Assist with planning daily production and preparation requirements based on expected customer demand.

Maintain appropriate portion sizes and control food costs. Ensure dishes are presented attractively and consistently before being served to customers. Work efficiently during busy lunch and dinner services to ensure orders are completed within required timeframes.

Coordinate with kitchen staff and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth and timely food service. Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic workstation throughout food preparation and service. Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.

Store food appropriately and maintain correct temperature control for refrigerated, frozen and cooked food. Minimise food wastage and safely dispose of food and kitchen waste. Clean and maintain cooking equipment, utensils, work areas and kitchen facilities.

Assist other kitchen staff with food preparation and general kitchen operations Qualification & experience Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, Hospitality or a related field. Demonstrated experience working as a Chef, Cook or in a commercial kitchen environment. Strong knowledge of Indian and North Indian/Punjabi cooking techniques.

Ability to prepare both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Experience with curries, tandoori cooking, biryani, naan/paratha and traditional Indian food preparation is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently in a busy restaurant environment.

Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements. Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent food quality. Good organisational and time-management skills.
