About the Position

LIMACK Construction Group Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and reliable Carpenter to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of carpentry and construction activities across residential and/or commercial building projects at various locations throughout Western Australia.

The position requires practical carpentry skills, the ability to interpret construction plans and drawings, and a strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Constructing and installing structural components of buildings, including walls, floors, roofs, frames and other timber structures.

Installing doors, windows, cabinets, skirting, architraves, mouldings and other finishing elements.

Measuring, marking, cutting, shaping and assembling timber and other construction materials accurately.

Reading and interpreting architectural plans, construction drawings and specifications.

Taking accurate measurements and calculating material requirements.

Selecting and preparing appropriate materials for construction and installation.

Inspecting existing structures and carrying out repairs, maintenance and replacement of damaged or worn components.

Using hand tools, power tools and carpentry equipment safely and effectively.

Ensuring completed work meets project specifications, quality standards and relevant building requirements.

Identifying construction issues and implementing practical solutions.

Working collaboratively with builders, supervisors, subcontractors and other trades.

Maintaining a clean and organised work area.

Following all workplace health and safety policies, procedures and safe work practices.

Communicating effectively with supervisors, clients and other team members.

Completing work within required project timeframes and to a high standard of workmanship.

Essential Requirements

Minimum 2-3 years of relevant carpentry experience.

Relevant carpentry qualification or demonstrated equivalent practical experience.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans.

Good knowledge of carpentry tools, materials and construction methods.

Ability to take accurate measurements and perform basic calculations.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Commitment to workplace health and safety.

Salary & Employment Conditions

Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 per annum + superannuation, depending on skills, experience and suitability.

This is a full-time position with opportunities to work on a range of construction projects across Western Australia.
