Banana Farm Workers

15 positions are available in East Palmerston, Queensland 4860, commencing September 2026. Full-time employment is offered with hours being a minimum of 38 hours a week.

Rate of Pay: Wages will be in accordance with the Horticulture award. You will be paid Level 1 Full-time wage under the Horticulture Award 2020 (MA000028) which is $25.71 per hour. If you are continuously progressing in your duties, you will be eligible for a pay increase.

Job Description: The successful applicants will need to excel in all tasks listed below and undertake them to a high standard and in an efficient manner. Jobs include;

• De-suckering

• Bell injecting

• Bagging

• Humping

• Stringing

• De-handing

• De-leafing

• Irrigation Maintenance

Potential to upskill or provide training for applicants is available for the successful applicants.

Attributes required include the following.

• Be enthusiastic and willing to learn and continuously improve in all tasks allocated.

• Availability to stay for the duration of 12 months to 4 years.

• Physical fitness and self-motivation are required as this position involves being on your feet for extended periods of time while performing repetitive manual tasks.

• Be able to work well in a team environment.
