Fleet Manager

The company’s day-to-day operations involve coordinating vehicles and drivers, managing transport schedules, maintaining fleet availability and ensuring vehicles are serviced and operational to support reliable and efficient transport services.

About the Role

ATR Corporation Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee the efficient operation, utilisation and maintenance of its vehicle fleet. The successful candidate will coordinate fleet activities, monitor vehicle performance and operating costs, manage maintenance requirements and support the safe and reliable operation of vehicles used across the company’s transport activities.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: $80,000 to $90,000 per annum plus Superannuation

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and coordinate the day-to-day operation and utilisation of the company’s vehicle fleet

- Coordinate vehicle allocation in line with transport schedules and operational requirements

- Monitor vehicle availability, servicing schedules and preventative maintenance requirements

- Coordinate vehicle repairs, inspections and maintenance with workshops and service providers

- Monitor fuel consumption, maintenance expenses and other fleet operating costs

- Monitor fleet performance and identify opportunities to improve vehicle utilisation, reliability and operating efficiency

- Maintain fleet records relating to vehicle registration, servicing, repairs, inspections and operational use

- Liaise with drivers, mechanics, suppliers and service providers regarding fleet and vehicle requirements

- Ensure fleet operations comply with applicable vehicle safety, registration and transport requirements

- Investigate vehicle breakdowns, maintenance issues and fleet-related operational disruptions and coordinate corrective action

- Prepare fleet utilisation, maintenance and operating cost reports for management

- Support drivers and operational staff regarding vehicle procedures and fleet requirements

Candidate Requirements

- Relevant qualification in Transport Management, Logistics, Fleet Management, Business or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience

- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in fleet management, transport operations or a comparable role

- Experience coordinating vehicle servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance

- Strong understanding of fleet utilisation, vehicle allocation and operating cost control

- Good organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills

- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination abilities

- Ability to manage competing priorities within a transport operation
