Motor Mechanic (ANZSCO: 321211 - MOTOR MECHANIC (GENERAL))

Full-time/Permanent

$80,000 - $85,000 (salary will be commensurate to qualifications and experience)

Duties and Responsibilities:

*Identifying and diagnosing faults in vehicle engines and associated mechanical components.

*Testing, calibrating and adjusting repaired mechanical parts to ensure correct operation and performance.

*Using computerised diagnostic equipment to identify and assess faults in vehicle systems and components.

*Inspecting vehicles and assessing their mechanical condition and roadworthiness.

*Removing and dismantling engines, transmissions, steering systems and other mechanical assemblies to inspect and assess individual components.

*Repairing or replacing damaged, defective or worn components and reassembling mechanical systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and service manuals.

*Carrying out scheduled and preventative maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication and engine tune-ups, to maintain vehicle performance and compliance with applicable emission requirements.

*Reassembling engines and related components following repairs and ensuring they are correctly fitted and operational.

Qualifications and Experience:

*Relevant AQF Cert III including 2 years of on-the-job experience or Cert IV

*A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience may replace the requirement of having a qualification.

*Applicants with qualifications must demonstrate 1 year of relevant experience.
