Electroplating Trade Assistant

We are seeking a young enthusiastic person with strong hands, great work ethic and an interest in chemistry.
Starting as a Trade Assistant, an Apprenticeship pathway is available to those who engage and see a career in this field.
A Trades Assistant is responsible for providing support to tradespersons as required. Functionally reports to Area Supervisor and takes operation direction from the Manufacturing Manager.
Primary Functions:
- Jigging of parts for processing
- Processing batches of parts
- General Housekeeping of the trades area
- Basic machine operation
- Waste removal from trades areas
- Cleaning, deburring and assembly activities
- Other general duties as directed
Skills:
Intermediate to advanced hand skills
Good verbal and written communication
Reliable and able to meet deadlines
PERFORMANCE GOALS:
Flexibility in work assignments and locations
Adhere to WH&S rules and condition specifically in the use of PPE
Comply with the organizations policies, procedures and systems
Ensure work areas are kept clean, organized and safe at all times
Some metal working experience (preferably aluminium) highly regarded.
