Motor Mechanic (General)

Our client, Harbour Car Care Pty Ltd, is looking for an experienced Motor Mechanic to support its vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair operations.

Job Title:

• Motor Mechanic

Responsibility:

• Diagnosing, servicing and repairing motor vehicles and their mechanical components.

Duties:

• Diagnoses mechanical and electrical faults in vehicles;

• Services and maintains engines, brakes, steering, suspension and transmission systems;

• Inspects, repairs and replaces worn or defective vehicle components;

• Performs scheduled servicing, oil changes, lubrication and tune-ups;

• Uses computerised diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults;

• Tests and adjusts vehicles after repairs to ensure proper performance;

• Follows manufacturer specifications and relevant service manuals;

• Maintains proper records of servicing and repair work;

• Maintains a clean, organised and safe workshop.

Qualification:

• AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV in Automotive/Vehicle Mechanical Technology or a related field;

• At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications;

• Relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification;

• Registration or licensing may be required, where applicable;

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in the automotive mechanical field.

Salary:

• $75,000 - $85,000 + Superannuation

Working Condition:

• Full Time / 38 hours per week
