Dairy & Cherry PTY Ltd trading as CATERING HQ PENRITH is looking for full time Cooks and Chefs for their busy venue at Penrith RSL.

Penrith RSL is a well-known community club located in Penrith, New South Wales, Australia, offering a welcoming environment for members and visitors alike. It provides a wide range of facilities, including dining options, entertainment venues, and event spaces that cater to families, friends, and social gatherings. The club is deeply connected to the local community, often supporting charitable causes and hosting events that bring people together.

With its modern amenities, friendly atmosphere, and strong focus on service, Penrith RSL has become a popular destination for relaxation, recreation, and community engagement.

To be considered for the role you need to have a relevant industry qualification and at least 2 years' experience in a similar position.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

-Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality

-Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment

-Preparing, seasoning and cooking food

-Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes

-Storing food in temperature controlled facilities

-Strong emphasis on quality and consistency of dishes

-Ability to contribute to menu planning, food cost estimation and food cost control

-Work with the chefs on food preparation and seasonal menu planning

-Immaculate presentation and grooming

-Ability to handle large service numbers

-Above average customer care and service skills

-Assist with training our junior team on cooking techniques and procedures

-Contribute to planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
