Located in Woodend, Barker Trailers have been in the business of manufacturing high quality semi-trailers in Australia since 1974. A proud family run business with over 120 staff across 2 sites (Maryborough/Woodend), we pride ourselves in our quality, innovative approach to design and manufacturing processes, using Australian made steel and products as well as continued product improvement and a safety-first approach.

We are on the lookout for self-starter Welders who has high standards in their work and work area.

Responsibilities of the Role:

* Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and measurements

* Selecting appropriate welding equipment and methods

* Welding components in various positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead)

* Inspecting and testing welds to ensure structural integrity

* Finishing products through grinding, polishing, and cleaning to achieve high-quality results

* Operating hand and power tools competently

* Maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment

Qualifications for the Role:

* Minimum 3 years’ full-time experience in industrial welding and fabrication

* Trade qualification in Welding or similar (desirable)

* Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans

* Solid understanding of welding processes and safety compliance

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

* Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team

The ideal candidate will receive a salary within the range of $75,000 to $85,000 annually.
