Pressure Welder

Lanyonscapes provides high quality design, development, installation and project management of landscape solutions including, revegetation, irrigation, maintenance, erosion and sediment control treatments. They have delivered and completed projects from small jobs to multimillion dollar projects over several years.

Lanyonscapes is looking for highly skilled and experienced Pressure Welders to join their team on a full-time and permanent basis.

Job location: Various Locations in QLD

The role includes but is not limited to:

Shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering

Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments

Studying blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements

Selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock

Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines

Joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting

Examining welds for width of bead, penetration and precision

Finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutions

Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiselling and grinding

Desirable traits and skills that will highly be regarded:

Relevant certification and qualification

Proven experience in various welding and fabrication techniques

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and blueprints

Experience working with a variety of materials, including steel, aluminum, and other alloys

Familiarity with a range of hand and power tools, including grinders, drills, and cutting tools

Strong attention to detail and the ability to conduct quality checks on completed work

Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned tasks

Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace

Strong communication skills

Self-motivated, organised, punctual and reliable

Must have great work ethics

Salary: Between $79,499 and $82,000 per annum + Super
