Zindran International Pty Ltd is seeking suitably qualified, experienced and reliable candidates for two separate permanent full-time positions at our motel and restaurant in Hay NSW:

1. Chef – Permanent Full-Time

2. Motel Manager – Permanent Full-Time

1. CHEF – PERMANENT FULL-TIME

Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum plus superannuation

We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our motel restaurant in Hay NSW.

Duties and Responsibilities

Planning and organising the preparation and cooking of food and menu items.

Preparing and cooking food in accordance with established recipes and standards.

Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.

Planning menus and assisting with food and labour cost control.

Determining food preparation levels and ordering food supplies.

Managing stock levels and the appropriate storage of food.

Discussing food preparation and operational matters with management, kitchen and waiting staff.

Demonstrating cooking techniques and procedures and training kitchen staff where required.

Ensuring kitchen equipment is used safely and correctly.

Maintaining kitchen cleanliness, hygiene and food safety standards.

Ensuring compliance with applicable food safety requirements.

Skills and Experience

Relevant Diploma-level qualification in Hospitality, Commercial Cookery or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

At least 2 years of relevant full-time work experience in a commercial kitchen.

Demonstrated experience in food preparation and cooking.

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements.

Excellent communication skills.

Good numeracy and literacy skills.

Food Safety Supervisor certification is desirable.

2. MOTEL MANAGER – PERMANENT FULL-TIME

Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum plus superannuation

We are seeking an experienced Motel Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our motel and associated hospitality operations in Hay NSW.

Duties and Responsibilities

Directing and overseeing reservations, reception, guest services and housekeeping activities.

Managing day-to-day motel operations and coordinating staff.

Supervising security arrangements and coordinating garden, property and general maintenance requirements.

Planning and supervising restaurant, function and other hospitality activities where required.

Monitoring and maintaining appropriate standards of guest service.

Assessing and reviewing customer satisfaction and responding appropriately to guest concerns.

Overseeing purchasing, stock control and relevant accounting and administrative activities.

Ensuring compliance with work health and safety requirements and other applicable regulations.

Managing and monitoring online and direct reservations.

Using accommodation booking and property management systems.

Providing guests with local tourism information and assisting with transportation or other arrangements where required.

Skills and Experience

Relevant Diploma-level qualification in Hospitality, Accommodation Management or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

At least 2 years of relevant full-time experience in hospitality or accommodation management.

Demonstrated experience in motel, hotel or accommodation operations.

Experience with SiteMinder or a similar accommodation booking/property management system.

Strong customer service and organisational skills.

Excellent communication skills.

Good numeracy, literacy and administrative skills.

Ability to supervise staff and coordinate day-to-day motel operations.
