Salary/Hours

Casual hourly rate of $32.18 under the Horticulture Award, level 1 (less than three months of horticulture experience) and move to level 2 after three months experience.

Role Description

Our family-run apple orchard in Harcourt North requires reliable and physically fit farm hands for the upcoming 2026-2027 season. No previous experience is necessary. Candidates should be motivated and be able to learn quickly.

Duties include the following and all training will be provided-

• Harvesting apples (Picking)

• Pruning, thinning and orchard maintenance

• Operation of farm machinery (if experienced)

Successful applicants will be provided with a minimum of 30 hours of work per week and be available for additional hours per week where required

Successful applicants will be required for start time between 7am - 8am (weather depending). Applicants must be available Monday - Friday and work some public holidays and weekends when required.

Requirements

-Available to work weekends

-Must be physically fit (lifting, walking, bending for long periods)

-Ability to work in outdoor conditions (hot, cold and wet weather)
