Rick Shores is one of Australia’s most iconic beachfront restaurants, known for its award-winning modern Asian dining, oceanfront setting, and world-class service. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Manager to join our leadership team and help us deliver exceptional experiences for both our valued guests and team.

About the Role

As Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the daily operations of Rick Shores, leading our front-of-house team and delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will also be responsible for managing and enhancing the venue’s beverage/bar program while ensuring high standards of service, hospitality and operational performance. Salary between $80,000 and $85,000 per annum plus super.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and ensure exceptional guest experiences.

Lead, train and supervise front-of-house staff and support their ongoing development.

Manage staff rosters and assist with recruitment and onboarding.

Maintain high standards of customer service and address customer feedback and complaints.

Oversee the venue’s beverage program, including wine, beer and cocktail offerings.

Train staff on beverage knowledge, service standards and responsible service of alcohol requirements.

Manage stock control, ordering and inventory for food and beverage operations.

Monitor sales performance and assist in achieving operational and financial targets.

Ensure compliance with food safety, liquor licensing and workplace health and safety requirements.

Work closely with the kitchen and management team to deliver a seamless dining experience.

Skills & Experience

Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within premium dining or high-end hospitality.

Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills with a genuine passion for customer service.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

RSA certification essential.

WSET Level 2 or 3 qualifications highly regarded.

Strong knowledge of domestic and international wines with the ability to pair wine and food creatively.

Ability to train and develop others in cocktails, spirts, beer and wine knowledge and production.
