A leading emergency services organisation is seeking an experienced workforce relations professional to join a high-performing people and culture function for a 6-month contract. This is a unique opportunity to influence workplace conduct, performance management, employee relations, and governance practices across a large, geographically dispersed workforce.
Working closely with senior leaders and HR stakeholders, you will provide expert advice on complex employee matters, support leadership capability development, drive consistency in conduct management practices, and contribute to the development of frameworks, policies, and workforce standards initiatives.
Your new role
Provide expert advice on employee relations, workplace conduct, and performance matters
Lead research and analysis relating to workforce standards and emerging HR trends
Support the development and continuous improvement of policies, frameworks, and governance processes
Coach leaders on managing complex people matters and foster best-practice workforce management
Prepare high-quality reports, briefings, correspondence, and presentations
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive positive workforce outcomes
Contribute to capability-building initiatives and organisational improvement projects
What you'll need to succeed
Extensive experience in Employee Relations, Human Resources, Workplace Relations, or Workforce Standards
Strong knowledge of conduct management, investigations, performance management, and workplace legislation
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
Demonstrated ability to navigate complex and sensitive workforce issues
Strong analytical, reporting, and policy development capabilities
Relevant HR or Employee Relations qualifications will be highly regarded
