Hot Bread Retail Group PTY LTD About the Role This is a full-time position responsible for managing and supporting the financial and accounting functions of the business. The successful candidate will work closely with management to ensure accurate financial reporting, effective financial controls and compliance with applicable accounting and statutory requirements. Key Responsibilities Prepare and analyse financial statements, management accounts and financial reports.
Monitor revenue, expenditure, cash flow and the overall financial performance of the business. Prepare budgets, forecasts and financial analyses to support business planning and management decision-making. Examine operating costs, income and expenditure and provide advice on financial performance.
Maintain and review accounting systems, financial records and internal financial controls. Prepare and review general ledger reconciliations, balance sheet accounts and supporting financial schedules. Manage month-end and year-end accounting processes and ensure financial records are accurate and complete.
Assist with the preparation of taxation and statutory reporting requirements, including BAS and other regulatory obligations. Analyse financial information and identify trends, variances, risks and opportunities for improved financial performance. Provide financial and accounting advice to management regarding business operations, budgeting and financial planning.
Liaise with external accountants, auditors, financial institutions and other professional advisers as required. Ensure accounting practices and financial reporting processes comply with relevant legislation, accounting standards and company policies. Support the development and implementation of improved accounting procedures, systems and financial controls.
Qualifications and Experience The successful candidate will ideally have: A Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a closely related discipline. Relevant professional accounting experience. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and Australian taxation and regulatory requirements.
Experience preparing financial statements, budgets, forecasts and management reports. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. Sound computer skills and experience using accounting and financial management software.
Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with management and other members of the team.
About Company What We Offer Full-time, ongoing employment. Competitive salary of $79,000 – $100,000 per annum plus superannuation, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The opportunity to work across a growing group of hospitality and food retail businesses.
