Fraud & Scams Officer

Are you passionate about combating fraud and protecting individuals from scams? We are seeking a dedicated Fraud & Scams Officer to join a Big 4 Bank in Bedford Park, commencing on Monday 12th October 2026. In this role, you will play a crucial part in identifying, investigating, and providing service to customers who are experiencing suspicious or fraudulent activities on their banking products. Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Inbound and outbound calls from customers in relation to card and digital fraud, scams, merchant fraud and any dispute matters

Provide guidance and support to individuals who have been victims of fraud

Monitor phone, internet banking, credit card, cheque, merchant fraud and transactional alerts for fraud and scam activity

Create scam and fraud files for case management

Refund and recover funds

Reporting fraudulent customers to regulatory bodies

Follow compliance and regulation protocols

Analyse data to identify patterns and trends related to fraudulent activities

About you:

Previous experience in fraud investigation or a related field

Investigative mindset

Empathetic nature

Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Ability to work across a 6am - 8pm roster

MUST be available to attend an in-person Assessment Centre on Thursday 3rd September
