Store Manager

Placed.au is looking for a full-time Store Manager for our client in Coolaroo, Victoria. This role is responsible for overseeing all store operations, including team management, customer service, inventory control, sales performance, and compliance, while maintaining an exceptional customer experience and a positive store environment.

Job Description

• Recruit, train, and mentor crew members, cultivating a high-performing team culture.

• Create weekly rosters, manage shift coverage, and ensure staff productivity.

• Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and support.

• Maintain top-tier service standards that reflect the brand.

• Address customer concerns with empathy, speed, and professionalism.

• Foster a positive, fun, and welcoming atmosphere for both customers and crew.

• Monitor stock levels and place orders to meet customer demand while reducing waste.

• Implement effective stock rotation and ensure compliance with food safety standards.

• Maintain detailed records of inventory, deliveries, and supplier transactions.

• Drive store profitability through smart budgeting, upselling, and cost control.

• Track sales performance and implement strategies to meet or exceed targets.

• Collaborate with HQ or marketing teams on local promotions and digital campaigns.

• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.

• Conduct regular audits and checks to maintain a safe and clean store environment.

Qualifications / Attributes

• Must hold a relevant Diploma, or at least three (3) years of relevant work experience may substitute for the formal qualification.

• Must possess at least one (1) year of relevant work experience in a Store Manager, Retail Manager, or similar supervisory role.

• Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, mentor, and manage staff effectively.

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle customer concerns professionally.

• Experience with staff rostering, shift coverage, performance management, and team productivity.

• Strong knowledge of inventory management, stock rotation, ordering, and waste reduction.

• Understanding of sales performance, budgeting, upselling, and cost control.

• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple store operations.

• Good understanding of food safety, health, hygiene, and workplace safety requirements.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate inventory, delivery, and supplier records.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with staff, management, and marketing teams.

Salary Range

$75,000 – $90,000 per annum excluding superannuation.
