TDA are one of the first businesses in Rockhampton to conduct Qualitative Respirator Fit Testing and one of the only to conduct Quantitative Respirator Fit Testing for trades people working in the industrial and construction industry having to wear tight-fitting respirators.
Turner Demolition and Asbestos are a licensed provider of commercial and residential demolition, asbestos removal (both class A and class B), auditing and testing. TDA are also your trusted specialist in face-fit, controls and remediations for people working with respirable crystalline silica and asbestos.
We are seeking Mechanical Technician to join our team of dedicated professionals. The Mechanical Technician is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of vehicles and equipment through expert maintenance, diagnostics, and repair.
Key duties include but are not limited to:
Perform regular scheduled preventive maintenance service on a range of vehicles and mechanical equipment to ensure operational efficiency and longevity
Identify, assess, and troubleshoot mechanical issues using computerised diagnostic systems
Dismantle, repair, and replace worn or defective mechanical parts, referencing service manuals and technical documentation as needed
Design and implement proactive mechanical maintenance strategies to minimise downtime and prevent costly vehicle or equipment breakdowns
Diagnose and resolve mechanical malfunctions, ensuring timely and effective repairs
Conduct post-repair testing and adjustments to verify proper performance and compliance with safety standards
Accurately complete and maintain service records, inspection reports, and compliance documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements
May perform vehicle inspections and issue roadworthiness certificates or provide detailed recommendations to meet legal and safety standards
May attend to on-site vehicle or equipment breakdowns, providing prompt diagnostic and repair services
Keep the workshop clean and organised while strictly adhering to health, safety, and environmental regulations
To be considered for this role, you must have:
Mechanical Technician trade qualification or equivalent
Strong mechanical knowledge on a wide variety of vehicle and equipment
Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
Strong communication skills
Strong diagnostic abilities
Self-motivated, organised, punctual and reliable
Must have great work ethics

Salary: Between $79,499 and $82,000 per annum + Super
