Butcher

As one of Victoria's leading Meat Wholesalers, Tip Top Butchers have been supplying to Melbourne Hotels, Restaurants, cafes, food caterers and other businesses in the hospitality industry for over 10 years and the general community for over 45 years. The company is recruiting qualified Butchers at their Laverton North VIC processing and storage facility.

The successful candidate will need to:

- Prepare meat by removing bones, trimming fat and cutting, mincing and grinding meat to shape and size as ordered

- Prepare crumbed cuts of meat, and marinating, seasoning and curing special cuts

- Select and prepare meat to produce smallgoods

- Operate machines to grind, mix, mince and tenderise meat

- Make seasonings and pickles by mixing spices, salt and other ingredients

- Operate sausage filling machines, smoking chambers, and cooking kettles and vats

Skills & Attributes:

- Must have 3 years’ experience as a Butcher

- Certificate III in Meat Processing or related Qualification

- OH&S awareness

- Food Handling and RSA certificates required

Salary range is $70,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience
