Laneway Espresso, Dromana, opened in September 2015, located in Dromana, Victoria. Nestled along the Nepean Highway, opposite Dromana beach. We are looking for a passionate and creative Chef to develop/update the menu and delivering high-quality meals. This is a rare opportunity to work in a rewarding environment as part of a creative kitchen brigade.

About the Role

The restaurant is providing breakfast, lunch, and a function menu filled with colourful, nutritious, and organic fare. We operate a breakfast and lunch, and function service 7 days per week. Monday-Friday: 6.15am to 3.30pm, Saturday and Sunday 6.45am to 4.00pm. We are currently seeking a Chef (for a full-time position) which is critical to our ability to operate the business.

Job Description

Position Title: Chef

Location of Employment: Laneway Espresso Dromana, 167 Point Nepean Road, Dromana, Vic - 3936

Employment Type: Full Time (38 hours per week), Permanent

Remuneration: $75,000 - $85,000 per annum + Guaranteed Superannuation

Primary Responsibilities:

• Planning and creating menus in discussion with the Restaurant Manager.

• Undertake reviews of the menu and update it as per the demand of customers.

• Ordering, stocking, rotating, and controlling food supplies.

• Delivering high-quality meals keeping in mind the nutritional value.

• Using creative cutting and presentation techniques.

• Prep work (daily food preparation).

• Following established procedures, safe work practices, and workplace hygiene procedures.

• Work in all sections of the kitchen.

• Catering for functions and events.

• General day-to-day kitchen operations (opening and closing).

Skills & Experience:

· Ability to work individually as well as part of a team.

· Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent qualification.

· Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role.

· Time Management Skills.

· Hand-Eye Coordination.

· Good Sense of Taste and Smell What we're looking for in the applicant:
