Haru Healthy Sushi operates a busy quick-service sushi and Japanese food retail outlet in Cherrybrook, New South Wales. The business specialises in the preparation and retail sale of fresh sushi rolls, sashimi, rice dishes and other Japanese-inspired food products, providing customers with convenient dine-in and takeaway options.

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Retail Manager to support our operations in Cherrybrook, New South Wales.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the sushi store, including managing staff, coordinating rosters, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring efficient service delivery. This includes maintaining high standards of food quality, customer service, and compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.

You will also support sales growth, improve customer experiences, manage supplier relationships, and ensure smooth daily retail operations.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

? Oversee the daily operations of the sushi shop, ensuring the business runs efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service, food quality, and business performance.

? Analyse customer preferences and sales trends to determine suitable menu selections, inventory requirements, and appropriate service procedures for the establishment.

? Manage supplier relationships, coordinate ordering processes, and ensure the availability of fresh ingredients, packaging, and other operational supplies while controlling costs.

? Develop and execute promotional strategies, including advertising campaigns and customer engagement initiatives, to increase awareness and sales of products and services.

? Monitor pricing structures, evaluate profitability, and make recommendations on menu pricing and product offerings to support the financial objectives of the business.

? Provide guidance to customers regarding menu options, ingredients, dietary requirements, and product choices while ensuring a positive dining experience.

? Maintain accurate documentation of inventory movements, sales records, expenses, and other financial information to support effective business management.

? Prepare and monitor operational budgets, review financial performance, and implement cost-control measures to improve the profitability of the sushi shop.

? Recruit, train, coordinate, and supervise employees, ensuring staff members understand their roles, deliver quality service, and follow workplace procedures.

? Ensure the business complies with workplace health and safety requirements, food safety standards, and relevant regulations to provide a safe environment for employees and customers.

To ensure that you are successful in this role you will possess/demonstrate:

? Relevant Advanced Diploma or Diploma qualification in a related field.

? At least one year of relevant experience in the role.

? Strong leadership and team management skills.

? Effective organisational and problem-solving abilities.

? Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail environment.

? Knowledge of stock control and sales operations.

Salary Offered: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $$75,000- $85,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
