About the Role:

Our client is a well-established manufacturer of Magnesium Oxide and Magnesium Carbonate and is seeking an experienced Commercial Executive to join their team.

This is a full-time permanent position reporting directly to the Sales & Marketing Manager. The position is based in the picturesque rural town of Young, NSW, approximately 365 km from Sydney and 160 km from Canberra.

The successful candidate will play an important role in developing new business, managing customer relationships, coordinating sales and logistics, and supporting the overall customer satisfaction process.

Position Overview:

The Commercial Executive will be responsible for developing new clients and markets, managing existing customer relationships, coordinating orders from entry through to dispatch and after-sales follow-up, and ensuring products are delivered to customers efficiently and to their requirements.

The role also involves working closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Finance and transport providers to ensure customer orders, logistics and commercial requirements are managed effectively.

Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Develop new clients, identify new markets and promote products to meet customer requirements.

• Maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers through regular phone and email communication.

• Coordinate logistics, including arranging trucks and containers and liaising with transport providers and shipping agents.

• Prepare daily billing and sales reports for management.

• Manage customer complaints and follow up on issues relating to quality, quantity, delivery and packaging.

• Attend client meetings, industry conferences and relevant business meetings, including regular travel as required.

• Assist across other areas of the business as required.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a commercial, sales, account management or customer-focused role.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships.

• Strong attention to detail and a customer-focused approach.

• Ability to work collaboratively with Production, Quality Assurance, Finance and external transport providers.

• Proficient computer skills and the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.

• Willingness and ability to travel regularly to meet clients and attend industry events.
