Position Available:

QING FENG PTY LTD, trading as KINGFOOD ROAST HOUSE, is seeking a dedicated FULL-TIME Restaurant Manager to join our team. Reporting directly to the Owner/Operator, you will be responsible for leading and training front-of-house staff, managing weekly rosters, and delivering warm, efficient service—from handling takeaway and dine-in orders during peak lunch rushes to resolving guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism.

Responsibilities:

1. Operational Planning and Coordination

Plans and coordinates the restaurant's daily operations, ensuring smooth collaboration between front-of-house and back-of-house teams. Oversees the efficient execution of lunch and dinner services, managing seating, takeaway orders, and service flow to deliver a seamless dining experience.

2. Staff Management and Development

Leads and supervises all restaurant staff, covering recruitment, training, rostering, and performance reviews. Provides ongoing coaching and development to build a motivated, skilled, and high-performing team that consistently upholds the restaurant's service standards.

3. Food and Beverage Quality Assurance

Monitors the preparation and presentation of all menu items, working closely with the kitchen team to maintain consistent quality, flavour, and visual appeal. Actively gathers and responds to guest feedback to continuously refine offerings and improve customer satisfaction.

4. Inventory and Supply Management

Tracks inventory levels of food, beverages, and operational supplies, placing timely orders to prevent shortages and minimise waste. Liaises with suppliers to ensure reliable, on-time delivery of quality goods at competitive prices.

5. Budgeting and Financial Control

Manages the restaurant's budget, controls operational costs, and oversees all financial transactions—including cash handling, daily reconciliations, and sales reporting. Ensures accurate financial record-keeping and works towards achieving revenue and profit targets.

6. Compliance and Safety Standards

Ensures full compliance with health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards, and workplace safety requirements. Maintains a clean, safe, and hazard-free environment in line with local legislation and company policies.

Requirements:

1. A relevant diploma qualification and one year of full-time (or part-time equivalent) work experience or at least three years of relevant experience.

2. Monitor budgets, control costs (food, labour, and beverages), and analyse sales reports to maximise profitability.
