Vishwamukha pty ltd Vishwamukha Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled chef for our Italian gourmet pizza and pasta cafe and restaurant. Benefits The position offers a competitive salary package of AUD $79,500 – $82,000 per annum plus superannuation , stable full-time employment, opportunities for professional development and a supportive team environment. Task & responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.

Prepare pizza dough, stretch pizza bases, assemble toppings, and operate commercial pizza ovens. Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation. Monitor and regulate oven temperatures and other cooking equipment during service.

Prepare ingredients and ensure food is cooked and presented to a consistently high standard. Portion and plate meals with appropriate sauces, garnishes, and accompaniments. Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness.

Assist with minimising food wastage and controlling kitchen costs. Store food and ingredients correctly in accordance with food safety requirements. Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering, receiving, and stock rotation.

Work collaboratively with management and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service. Ensure food preparation and cooking activities comply with applicable health, hygiene, and food safety standards. Store food in temperature-controlled facilities in compliance with food safety regulations.

Support smooth and efficient kitchen operations during busy lunch and dinner service periods. Qualification & experience Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, Diploma in Culinary Arts or a similar relevant qualification. Minimum 1 year of relevant experience working as a Chef or in a similar commercial kitchen role.

Experience working in an Italian restaurant or pizza section preferred Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices Experience with stock control, ordering and food cost management. Ability to work efficiently in a team-based kitchen environment Strong attention to quality, consistency, and presentation Strong organisational and time-management skills.

Good communication skills and attention to detail.
