CHEF/COOK

HK5 ENTERPRISES PTY LTD We are looking for a dynamic chef/cook for our restaurant. The applicant must know all skills required in order to perform chef/cook tasks. Benefits Full-time job available with extra shifts Attractive salary Free meal during shift break Task & responsibilities The cook will be responsible for cooking all the items on the menu in this busy restaurant.

Preparation and cooking of all items to be served by the restaurant Planning menus and estimating food costs in consultation with the owner Supervision of all staff in the kitchen and of the orderly running of the kitchen Discussing food preparation issues with the manager and other staff members Requesting food, kitchen supplies and equipment Preparation of many of the items on the menu and the suggestions of the new item Using his/her knowledge, experience and best endeavours to always Cook and prepare food to the high standards and quality control expected by the restaurant.

Portioning food, adding gravies, sauces and garnishes Qualification & experience Minimum 1 to 3 years' experience Certificate III and Certificate IV in cookery Proficiency in operating and maintaining ovens, utilising traditional cooking techniques to achieve authentic flavours Strong knowledge of spices and seasoning allowing you to create delectable dishes Extensive experience working as a cook, particularly in a busy and fast-paced environment.
