Position: Mechanical Engineering Technician

Location: 6 Coronation Ave Kings Park NSW 2148

Salary: $80000 - $100000 + Super

Minimum requirements:

AQF Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Associate Degree a with at least 3 years of experience working in a similar position

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive, routine, and corrective maintenance on food processing machinery, conveyors, packaging lines, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and HVAC systems.

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults, breakdowns, and equipment performance issues to minimize production downtime.

Inspect, repair, replace, and adjust mechanical components including bearings, belts, chains, shafts, couplings, and drive systems.

Assist with the installation, commissioning, calibration, modification, and upgrading of new and existing mechanical equipment.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, equipment manuals, schematics, and technical specifications to support maintenance and repair activities.

Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment logs, inspection reports, work orders, and calibration documentation in accordance with HACCP and GMP requirements.

Conduct mechanical safety inspections and ensure machinery complies with workplace health and safety, food hygiene, and sanitation standards.

Work closely with engineers, maintenance personnel, and production teams to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, support continuous improvement, and implement Lean/Kaizen initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications

High degree of drafting skills is required

Understand and thrive in a high compliance, process driven environment.
