Builders Labourer

Builders Labourer – Casual / Full-Time

Statewide Trade Solutions Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable, hardworking and motivated Builders Labourer to join our growing team on a casual/full-time basis.

We undertake a wide range of building and construction works throughout Geelong and surrounding areas, including concreting, carpentry, formwork, fencing, earthworks, site preparation and general construction works.

About the Role

The successful applicant will work alongside our tradespeople and assist with a variety of building and construction activities, including:

- General building and construction labouring

- Assisting carpenters and concreters

- Concrete preparation, placement and clean-up

- Formwork and reinforcement preparation

- Fencing installation

- Earthworks and site preparation

- Loading and unloading materials, tools and equipment

- Maintaining clean, organised and safe worksites

- Using hand and power tools where appropriately trained

- Assisting with machinery and equipment

- Driving company trucks and vehicles between the factory, suppliers and worksites during work hours

We are looking for someone who:

- Is hardworking, reliable and punctual

- Has a positive attitude and is willing to learn

- Can follow instructions and work well as part of a team

- Is physically capable of performing construction labouring duties

- Takes pride in their work

- Has a solid awareness of workplace health and safety practices

- Is willing to work across different areas of the building and construction industry

Some previous building and construction knowledge or experience is preferable but not essential. Applicants who are willing to learn and have a strong work ethic are encouraged to apply.

Licence & Requirements

- Must hold a current and valid Victorian Driver Licence

- Must be legally permitted to drive the company vehicles required for the role

- Construction White Card required

The successful applicant will be required to drive company trucks and vehicles during work hours, including travelling between worksites, suppliers and the company factory.

Tools

Company power tools and equipment are supplied.

Employees are encouraged to bring their own basic hand tools where possible, such as a nail/tool bag, hammer, tape measure, pencils/markers and other basic personal hand tools, however this is not essential.
