Full-Time ICT Support & Network Engineer
Salary $80,000 per annum + Superannuation
Role Summary
We are seeking an ICT Support & Network Engineer to provide practical day-to-day technology support for Dynamics Hub and its customers. The role focuses on end-user support, office and field connectivity and network troubleshooting, device setup, user access, system monitoring, backups, security updates and support for cloud-based business applications. The successful applicant will work with senior consultants and customer stakeholders to minimise downtime and help users work securely and effectively from office and field locations.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide first- and second-level support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices and common business applications.
• Diagnose and resolve VPN, LAN and general network connectivity issues across office and remote-user environments.
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, wireless access points and basic network services under approved technical standards.
• Set up new employees, including workstations, email, user accounts, permissions, software access and secure remote connectivity.
• Support field employees who require access to job schedules, customer information, photographs, reports and cloud applications.
• Monitor network, server and endpoint health; investigate alerts and escalate complex issues where required.
• Install operating-system updates, software patches, endpoint protection and approved security updates.
• Assist with backups, file restoration, access recovery and basic business-continuity procedures.
• Support Windows desktop and Windows Server environments, with exposure to Linux, virtual machines and cloud platforms where required.
• Use diagnostic and monitoring tools such as Wireshark, Nmap, Cisco Packet Tracer and approved SIEM solutions.
• Maintain service records, asset details, technical notes, user instructions and issue-resolution documentation.
• Communicate clearly with users, provide practical guidance and ensure incidents are followed through to resolution.
• Assist senior consultants with Microsoft 365, Azure, Dynamics 365 and other business-system support activities as skills develop.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
• Practical experience in ICT support, network administration or technical support gained through employment, internships or professional placements.
• Working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Windows Server, user accounts, permissions, email and common Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot Wi-Fi, routers, switches, VPNs, TCP/IP connectivity and basic LAN issues.
• Experience setting up computers, installing software, applying updates and supporting users in office or field environments.
• Understanding of backup restoration, endpoint security, patching and basic network/server monitoring.
• Familiarity with tools such as Wireshark, Nmap, Cisco Packet Tracer, VMware or SIEM platforms.
• Strong customer service, communication, time-management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently on routine incidents and escalate higher-risk or complex issues appropriately.
Desirable Skills
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services or other cloud platforms.
• Experience supporting mobile or field-service teams and cloud-based job-management applications.
• Knowledge of Linux environments, virtualisation, CCTV/NVR systems or IP intercom equipment.
• Basic SQL, HTML, CSS or scripting knowledge.
• Interest in developing skills in Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Power Platform and modern cloud support services.

Travel and Work Requirements
The role is based in Sydney. The employee may be required to attend customer sites in Sydney and, occasionally, travel to Melbourne, Canberra or other Australian locations. Some remote support may be provided outside standard business hours during critical incidents or planned maintenance.
