We employ approximately 3,000 people across four operating divisions: Fire & Security, Electrical, Property Services, and Products. We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our friendly and supportive team. We are offering a salary of $80,000 plus superannuation.

ARA Division - ISM Interiors

Job Details: Full-time, 38 hours per week

Location: 24-30 Halsey Road, Airport West VIC

Salary: $80,000.00 plus superannuation

Key Responsibilities:

Analysing engineering drawings, specifications and dimensional requirements to determine suitable manufacturing and machining solutions;

Developing and modifying mechanical drawings, 3D models and manufacturing information using SolidWorks, AutoCAD and NX Design;

Developing, testing and improving machining methods and CNC programs for new and modified components and hardware applications;

Determining appropriate tooling, machining sequences and process parameters based on materials, component design and tolerance requirements;

Conducting first-off testing and dimensional verification to ensure manufactured components comply with engineering specifications;

Investigating machinery, tooling and manufacturing process issues and implementing technical and corrective solutions;

Reviewing manufacturing methods and equipment performance to improve accuracy, repeatability, quality and production efficiency;

Preparing technical and manufacturing documentation and maintaining appropriate process and quality-control requirements; and

Providing technical guidance to production personnel regarding machining methods, equipment setup, tolerances, quality and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

Tertiary degree in a relevant field

Minimum 3 year of work experience in the field or closely related
