We're looking for four experienced Cooks with great work ethic, passion and strong knowledge in all areas of Italian restaurant food operations! Your hands on approach will see you be a successful team player. Your work ethic and communication skills will be exceptional. About Us:

Ollie’s Italian is a waterfront restaurant where we live, breathe and feed ourselves on pasta fresca, hand-stretched Neapolitan pizza and the best cuts of meat Australia has to offer.

Required Skills

• Preparing, seasoning, cooking and plating dishes as per the recipes in a timely manner

• Prepping ingredients as instructed by Head Chef and chefs of a higher level across all areas in the kitchen

• Ensuring menu comprehension across the restaurant

• Plating all dishes in appropriate portions as per menu card photos as well as including any sides, gravies, sauces and garnishes as per the kitchen docket.

• Arranging the purchasing and pricing of food as directed by the Head Chef or Chefs of higher level

• Maintaining records of stock levels and insuring food wastage is at a minimum

• Planning menus in consultation with Chefs as required

• Ensuring kitchen area and equipment complies with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance

• Experience regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment

• Systematically logging fridge and freezer temperatures as well as ensuring food is stored appropriately to exceed food safety guidelines

• Ability to train and supervise kitchen hands and apprentice staff as required

Experience/Availability

• 1-2+ years' cooking experience or relevant qualifications

• Experience in a 7 day a la carte operation Italian restaurant offering lunch and dinner

• Team focused and passionate about the industry Solutions driven and flexible

• A work ethic to write home about available to work full-time

Salary: $71,500 to $82,000
