We are seeking a passionate Cook to join our team at the Malvernvale Hotel in Malvern, VIC 3144.

Position Available

The Malvernvale Hotel is seeking a qualified and experienced Cook to join the kitchen team on a full-time basis.

Duties and Responsibilities

Kitchen Operations

Prepare, season and cook a range of dishes to a high standard.

Ensure timely preparation and service during lunch, dinner and peak periods.

Maintain consistency in taste, portion control and presentation.

Monitor quality of raw ingredients and finished meals.

Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills, fryers and other cooking equipment.

Prepare meats, seafood, vegetables, sauces, desserts and accompaniments.

Manage stock rotation and minimise wastage.

Hygiene & Compliance

Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation standards.

Follow food safety regulations and workplace health and safety requirements.

Ensure proper storage, handling and labelling of food products.

Assist in ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.

Requirements

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification/work experience.

At least 1 year relevant experience.

General Requirements

Ability to work weekends, evenings and public holidays.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Reliable, punctual and committed to quality service.

Employment Conditions

Full-time position.

Minimum 38 hours per week.

Annual salary between $76,515 and $81,000 plus superannuation, depending on role and experience.
