Meat Production Worker

We have up to 50 positions available for Meat Production Workers in a Meat Processing Centre in Childers and surrounds.

Work is due to start late November 2026, with various start dates until October 2027 and is expected to go for 9 months.

You will be paid as a Level 1, Casual under the Meat Industry Award 2020 (MA000059).

There may be an opportunity to undertake training and upskilling in this role, which can allow your

remuneration to increase as per the levels in the Meat Industry Award 2020 (MA000059).

This position requires the availability for shift work over a 7-day roster.

Minimum of 30 hours a week, 6.30am-3.30pm though at times this may change due to the seasonal needs of the business.

Please note that random drug & alcohol testing may be conducted.

Job Description

Hands on processing, trimming, boning, slicing and preparing meat products

Package, label, and palletise meat products for storage and distribution.

Manual handling tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving products.

Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment in accordance with food safety regulations

Follow all directives from Team Leaders and Management.

Selection Criteria:

Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.

Ability to perform physically demanding work and stand for extended periods.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.

Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment

Ability to cope with changing work demands

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate with supervisors and colleagues.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including shift work, weekends, and overtime if required
