Diesel Mechanic – DAF Truck Specialist | Laverton North, Melbourne

At Euro Truck Mechanical, we do things differently. We're a specialist workshop that works on DAF trucks only. No Kenworths. No Freightliners. No jumping between ten different makes and trying to remember where every manufacturer hides their faults. Just DAF.

We've spent over 25 years specialising in DAF trucks and have built a reputation across Australia as the workshop people call when they're stuck.

We're a small team, but we're serious about what we do. Our workshop is equipped with modern equipment including an overhead crane, brake roller testers, pneumatic test bench, A/C service equipment, DAVIE diagnostics and the specialist tooling required to tackle major repairs. We don't just change parts. We diagnose faults, solve problems and fix trucks properly.

What you'll be working on:

General servicing & maintenance · Brakes & suspension · Diagnostics & fault finding · Gearboxes & drivelines · Pneumatic systems · Electrical repairs · Engine repairs

We're looking for someone who:

- Is a qualified diesel mechanic

- Can work independently without someone looking over their shoulder

- Takes pride in doing the job properly

- Has good diagnostic skills or wants to develop them

-Isn't afraid of a challenge

- Wants to learn more than just servicing trucks

What's on offer:

- $40 – $60 per hour + super, based on experience

- Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm

- Overtime available from time to time

- $2,000 sign-on bonus after 6 months

- Off-site training opportunities for the right person

- Workshop shutdown over Christmas and New Year

Truck licence preferred but not essential

Forklift licence preferred but not essential

Laverton North workshop — easy access from the western suburbs and CBD

NOT FOR EVERYONE

This isn't a workshop where you'll spend all day doing services and go home on autopilot. We're busy, priorities change, and breakdowns happen — some days are flat-out. Things move fast and priorities shift, but we sort it out and get the job done. If you need someone standing over your shoulder, this probably isn't the place for you.

If you enjoy solving problems, working with a good crew and getting stuck into real truck repairs, you'll fit right in.
