Wulguru Group is seeking a skilled Vehicle Spray Painter to join their team in their Townsville workshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and painting a variety of industrial vehicles and equipment, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, cleaning, and applying primer as required.

• Mix and match paints to achieve precise color accuracy, adhering to client or manufacturer specifications.

• Apply paint using various techniques, including spray guns, ensuring a smooth and flawless finish.

• Perform touch-ups and repairs to maintain the aesthetic and quality of vehicle surfaces.

• Inspect completed work for quality control, ensuring a professional and long-lasting finish.

• Utilise specialised tools and equipment, maintaining them in excellent working condition.

• Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.

• Keep accurate records of materials used and work completed for future reference.

• Stay informed about the latest advancements in painting techniques, tools, and materials.

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to workplace health and safety standards.

Requirements:

• Relevant trade qualifications: Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology or equivalent.

• Proven experience in automotive painting, including surface preparation and spray painting.

• Strong understanding of paint mixing, matching, and application techniques.

You may be required to undergo a Medical and Drug & Alcohol test.
