Massage Therapist

SahSin Massage Therapy The Massage Therapist is responsible for delivering high-quality therapeutic and relaxation massage services tailored to individual client needs. This includes conducting thorough client assessments, implementing a range of massage techniques, and maintaining detailed treatment records. The therapist will work collaboratively with the wellness team to support the overall health goals of clients in a safe, professional, and client-focused environment.

Benefits Task & responsibilities Duties: Conduct detailed assessments of clients, including health history, physical condition, and specific goals for massage therapy. Identify contraindications and determine the suitability of treatment options. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client assessments and therapeutic needs.

Perform a variety of massage techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports, remedial, and relaxation massage. Use additional modalities such as stretching, trigger point therapy, and heat/cold applications when appropriate. Maintain accurate and confidential records, including treatment notes, assessments, and client progress.

Monitor and document client progress, updating treatment plans as necessary. Provide clients with information on the benefits of massage therapy and recommended frequency of treatment. Ensure a clean, sanitary, and welcoming treatment environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Utilize appropriate tools and equipment such as massage tables, oils, and therapeutic devices to support treatment delivery. Stay informed of emerging techniques and industry standards through continued professional development. Responsibilities: Collaborate with other practitioners within the wellness centre to support integrated client care.

Follow all company policies, workplace procedures, and relevant Australian laws and regulations related to massage therapy practice. Uphold professional and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and trust in all client interactions. Deliver consistently high-quality massage services in line with client expectations and industry best practices.

Actively contribute to a positive and supportive team culture. Qualification & experience Qualification & Experience Completion of a Diploma in Massage Therapy or a related qualification. Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in massage therapy, with demonstrated proficiency in multiple massage techniques.

Experience in a clinical or wellness setting is preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport and trust with clients. Effective critical thinking and assessment skills to develop and modify treatment plans.

Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical practice at all times. Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Familiarity with hygiene and workplace health and safety standards.
