Full-Time Chef

Qiu Thai Pty Ltd Chop Chop Kitchen is looking for a motivated and experienced Chef to join our busy kitchen team in Cairns, Queensland. We are seeking a chef who is passionate about preparing quality food, takes pride in their work and can perform well in a fast-paced hospitality environment. About the role As a Chef at Chop Chop Kitchen, you will be responsible for: Planning and creating menus, considering dietary preferences and costs.

Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to a high standard. Managing kitchen staff and ensuring food safety/hygiene standards. Holding meeting with the management and kitchen team in relation to any menu and food related matters that may arise.

Monitoring inventory, ordering supplies, and managing stock levels. Training junior kitchen staff and overseeing their work. Ensuring kitchen equipment is maintained and functioning properly.

Applying hygiene regulations and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. Ensuring compliance with food safety and health regulation. Qualification and Experience: Holds a Diploma in Hospitality Management qualification; Have at least 1-year relevant Chef experience; Have strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations; Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment; Demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills; Be committed to delivering high-quality food and service.
