O plus health Grafton About the Role O Plus Health Grafton is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced General Practitioner to provide comprehensive primary healthcare services to patients in Grafton and the surrounding community. The successful applicant will be responsible for assessing patients, diagnosing and managing a broad range of medical conditions, providing appropriate treatment and preventative healthcare, and coordinating patient care with other healthcare professionals and specialists.

Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive medical consultations and physical examinations to assess patients' health concerns and medical conditions. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses, injuries and other physical and mental health conditions. Request, perform and interpret appropriate diagnostic investigations, including pathology, imaging and other medical tests.

Develop and implement appropriate treatment and management plans in consultation with patients. Prescribe and administer medications and other appropriate treatments in accordance with clinical requirements. Monitor patients' progress and response to treatment and modify treatment plans where clinically appropriate.

Provide preventative healthcare advice, including guidance on diet, exercise, lifestyle and disease prevention. Provide ongoing management and care for patients with chronic and complex health conditions. Refer patients to medical specialists, allied health professionals and other healthcare providers where appropriate, and coordinate ongoing care.

Maintain accurate, confidential and up-to-date patient medical records and clinical documentation. Communicate effectively with patients, their families and other healthcare professionals. Comply with relevant Australian healthcare legislation, professional standards, clinical guidelines and workplace policies.

Participate in quality improvement and professional development activities as required. Qualifications and Skills Medical degree recognised in Australia. Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia/AHPRA, with appropriate registration to practise as a General Practitioner.

Demonstrated experience working as a General Practitioner in a primary healthcare setting. Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic and treatment skills. Ability to manage a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective relationships with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Strong understanding of professional, ethical, clinical and patient confidentiality requirements.
